The Story of Our Practice
Therapy & Mor is a group therapy practice based in Houston with therapists who practice virtually all over Texas. Mor Regev, LCSW-S, the supervisor and head of the practice, started her private practice in 2021 after working in education as a teacher, social worker, and school counselor for 15 years. She started supervising talented social workers in 2023 and expanded the practice in 2024 so they could see clients as well.
A message from Mor:
Hi, we’re so glad you found our website, Therapy & Mor. I imagine if you’re here, it’s because you’re hurting. Things aren’t going the way you want them to: Maybe your marriage or relationship isn’t bringing you the joy it used to, or maybe it’s driving you downright nuts. Maybe you aren’t speaking to your kids, or maybe you are the kid or teen that just can’t seem to get along with your parents or the people around you. Maybe things have gotten so bad that you’ve contemplated hurting yourself or suicide. Perhaps you’re grieving a loss, a person, a job, a relationship. Or maybe you’ve tried to figure out why you’re not as happy as you could be and you just can’t. When you’re hurting and in pain, it can be very hard to seek therapy. I know: I struggled to do it even when I knew I needed help, and seeking therapy changed my lives in countless, unimaginable ways.
I am a daughter, sister, immigrant, wife, mom, and former teacher and school counselor who has worked with hundreds of people over the last decade to help them live more satisfying, joy-filled lives. I use cognitive, dialectical, mindfulness, movement, and trauma-informed therapies to uncover what’s really going on with clients. I want my clients to leave sessions feeling a little lighter, understanding hidden parts of themselves to change behaviors that aren’t working anymore. I want you to rediscover the really magical parts of life: ease, joy, love, fun, belonging, and connection; I’d love to accompany you on your journey.

Testimonials
No amount of words can properly express my love and appreciation for Mor. Throughout my middle school career, she was my counselor and my mentor. In those four years she provided me more than I could ever ask for. She offered me endless support and presented opportunities that changed my life. She made me a priority even after our time with each other came to a close, and makes sure to check up on me and my progress now and again. She cares truly and deeply about everyone she comes across, and dedicates her whole self to everything she does.
AM, HS Student, therapist: Mor RegevMor has been one of the best counselors that I have had the pleasure to meet and work with. She makes it feel that parents feel included in everything happening. I believe it’s because of her dedication that she has made it possible for the families and students she works with to be successful. She has always been a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen and always finds ways to help. For that I will always be grateful to her.
CP, Parent of clients, therapist: Mor RegevMor is truly one of a kind! She is patient, understanding, and creates a safe space where you can feel comfortable enough to talk about anything with no judgment. She is also an incredible resource and is always providing new material to educate or put therapy into practice. You can tell she cares deeply about her clients and I cannot thank her enough for the milestones I’ve hit since starting therapy with her! I feel so truly lucky to have met her!
NB, Individual therapy adult client, therapist: Mor RegevMy sessions with Mor and EMDR therapy were amazingly effective in resolving trauma I’ve had for years. Mor was always completely present during our sessions and would often check in to make sure that I was secure and grounded while processing traumatic memories. She explained EMDR therapy in a concise and clear manner prior to beginning our sessions, and we would often discuss how the processing worked. She allowed me to guide the process and determine how I wanted each of our sessions to go. Additionally, she provided me with a wide variety of effective coping skills and realistic goals to work on in between sessions. Reaching out to Mor and working with her was one of the best decisions of my life, and I can comfortably say that I was able to put down my trauma with the help of EMDR therapy.

Client 1; therapist: Lauren GoodesI liked that even though I thought some of problems could never be solved Lauren reassured me and always gave me techniques to help me get through what I was struggling with.Doing therapy with Lauren has helped me tremendously. I feel safe to discuss things that bothered me and I never felt judged. She’s an excellent therapist that really does care.
Client 2; therapist: Lauren GoodesShe takes her time with you shes very sweet and has the best advice.
Client 3; therapist: Lauren GoodesLauren is thorough, succinct, honest and an advocate for her clients. Her time and heart goes into every session with the outcome being success and growth on the other side for her clients. My child and I are blessed to have her as an ally in this lifetime! Lauren utilized practical resources that I could implement with my child daily. Breathing techniques and targeted questions to ask my child to help pinpoint certain emotions in real time or as needed proved successful in helping my child find the words to articulate their feelings. Those same techniques being reinforced in therapy and at home was key in my opinion.
Client 4; therapist: Lauren GoodesI hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for the incredible impact you have had on his journey. As we have come to the conclusion of his therapy sessions, I am truly amazed at the growth and progress he has made under your guidance. His enthusiasm for his mental well-being has flourished, and I attribute this to your patient, thoughtful, and compassionate approach. The skills you’ve helped him develop have not only improved his ability to manage his symptoms but also reinforced his belief in his own strength. It has been a joy to witness his confidence and eagerness to continue on this path of mental wellness, and I know this is in large part due to the work you’ve done with him. Your support and care have been invaluable, and I cannot express enough how much we appreciate you. Thank you for your dedication and for making such a meaningful difference in his life. We are forever grateful.
